Rappahannock Trails Coalition’s (RappTrails) mission is to make the outdoors accessible for Rappahannock County residents and visitors of all ages to safely enjoy walking, hiking, and biking for education, health, fitness, and community through shared experiences.

RappTrails began in 2016 with a shared goal of making outdoor experiences more accessible to the residents of Rappahannock County. Led by an all-volunteer committee, RappTrails is harnessing the passion and efforts of its member and supporters to continue that mission. Sara Loveland is a local truffle farmer and avid biker. John Jacquemin has created 12 miles of trails on his own property with plans to make those available for general use. Steph Ridder sits on the board of the Virginia Outdoors Foundation and the Piedmont Environmental Council, and is experienced in leading projects that enhance the public's experience of our natural environment. Jane Whitfield has 20 years of experience in managing nonprofits and fundraising and is the Project Coordinator. Together, we’re re-envisioning ways we can collectively enjoy the natural beauty of our county.
